This is Book 3 of The Mortal Instruments Series
Sequel: City of Fallen Angels
Sequel: City of Fallen Angels
Sypnopsis:
To save her mother's life, Clary must travel to the City of Glass, the ancestral home of the Shadowhunters -- never mind that entering the city without permission is against the Law, and breaking the Law could mean death. To make things worse, she learns that Jace does not want her there, and Simon has been thrown in prison by the Shadowhunters, who are deeply suspicious of a vampire who can withstand sunlight.
As Clary uncovers more about her family's past, she finds an ally in mysterious Shadow-hunter Sebastian. With Valentine mustering the full force of his power to destroy all Shadow-hunters forever, their only chance to defeat him is to fight alongside their eternal enemies. But can Downworlders and Shadowhunters put aside their hatred to work together?

Review:
Among all the books from this series, this might have been my favorite. If Cassandra Clare ended the Mortal Instruments series with this book, it would still be strong and definitive--which is such a good thing. She can call it a trilogy without disappointing the readers, anyway. Though there a few questions unanswered and but it may actually change in the following sequels.
I don't really know what to say about Clare's amazing writing talent. The writing style is fast paced, descriptive and humorous. Jace's witty behavior and Simon's sarcastic tendencies are a few that made me like the books. Sometimes, the characters does it all for me.
The character development was consistent and realistic. Clary sticks with her personality, and I pretty much saw how much she's grown throughout the series. Jace is still who he is, revealing a few of his unseen sides in the first and second book. There were a heap of questions since book one that this installment, at last, answered.
The author did open a few questions which the next book with obviously revolve around. We will never know what she has in mind about this, anyway.
